Grandma Jamison's Hamburger Pattie Casserole

  • 3 slices bread
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  1. Soak bread in 3/4 cup milk.  When soft, whip up good and add hamburger, egg, baking powder, and salt & pepper to taste.

    Make into meat balls or patties and fry in butter until slightly browned.  Place in casserole.  Dilute  soup with 1 /2 cup milk.  Pour over meat and bake 30 min. at 300.  (I leave the soup off some patties for those who prefer it that way.)
