Thanksgiving Turkey

  • 19-22 lb. Turkey (frozen)
  • 1 Rome apple (or other baking apple) quartered
  • 2 stalks celery, cut in large chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut in large chunks
  • Seasoned Salt (Lawrys)
  • Onion salt
  • Salt & Pepper
  1. Place frozen turkey in a baking bag and set on 6 LONG criss-crossed sheets of heavy duty foil.  Sprinkle seasonings.  Place apples, celery, and onion chunks in the bag and close.  Cut 2 slits in the top of the bag and then seal foil to the top and put in roaster pan.  Bake at 300 for 15 hours.  Turn off oven and let sit for another 3 hours.

    Note:  Make sure your oven doesn't have a safety auto turn off engaged.  Or turn off and then back on half way through.
