Porter's Chocolate Cake

This is the most delicious chocolate cake I have ever had. It is moist and awesome.  No frosting necessary.  Though a scoop of vanilla ice cream and homemade hot fudge on top takes it up a notch.

  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 3 oz instant chocolate pudding
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (1/2 to full cup)
  1. Mix chocolate cake according to directions on back of cake box.

  2. Add chocolate pudding powder and sour cream - mix thoroughly.

  3. Pour into 13 x 9 pan that has been greased and floured. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of batter and smooth over.

  4. Cook @ 350°F for 45-60 minutes. Knife or toothpick will come out clean if done. Cool on rack. 

  5. Serve with ice cream and hot fudge sauce.
