
- 18.3 oz boxed fudge brownie mix mixed according to box directions
- 1/2 cup butter melted and cooled slightly
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment and lightly spray with oil.

In a mixing bowl, add all the brownie ingredients according to the package directions.

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread to an even layer.

In a separate mixing bowl, add the butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Mix on medium speed until fully combined.

Add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and combined.

Add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix on low until all the flour is incorporated.

Fold in the chocolate chips with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon.

With two spoons, carefully scoop and drop small dollops of the cookie dough evenly across the surface of the brownie batter.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
